Sam Chinyemba SamG
Sam Chinyemba also known as SamG was born in Mufulira and raised in Lusaka, Zambia. He started music as a singer at New Apostolic church back in 2012 which made him start learning notation as a musician. He is a flutist.
In 2014, a revelation was given to SamG through a dream, which propelled him to start working harder towards his goals and passion for music.
SamG had no one to help him out in logistics and movements but he could look for means and ways to do it. This gave him a chance to meet different artists local and international.
In 2019, SamG participated in a classical music competition for Black Americans as a flutist and he was awarded the first place. In 2020, he participated in a local classical music competition and was awarded third place. In 2021, he participated in an international flute competition and got first place.
In 2022, SamG realized he was a rapper and started to infuse rap in his music career. On his birthday in that year, he shared a unique piece of music on Audiomack which his followers greatly. From then on, SamG has continued to fuse classical instrumentation such as his flute in all of his hip-hop tracks. SamG has worked with different established artists and upcoming artists in local studios in Lusaka.
