Rubie Bass
Rubie Bass (Reuben Sakala) is a Zambian artist based in Lusaka. A session artist that plies his trade, performing at various top notch entertainment centers and high profile events around the country. Notable events include the state concert organised for the 2001 Big Brother Africa winner Cheris Makubale. He has also performed at he annually held One Love Bob Marley memorial concert. You can catch Rubie at Chrisma Hotel, Pamodzi Hotel and Sea Salt Restaurant in Lusaka regularly.
The steady ,infectious bass lines and calm character makes Rubie Bass an easy musician to work with. Among areas of comfort for Rubie Bass are Reggae, Ragga, Hip Hop, R ‘n’ B, Afro-pop, kalindula music. Currently he is band leader and bassist for The Cross Over Band.
