Mupalo Mazala
Mupalo Mazala is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised on the Copperbelt province of Zambia.
She has spent the majority of her adult life residing in Windhoek Namibia, where she studied between
the years of 2012 and 2020. It is there that she developed the artistic pursuits that she has been
enthusiastic about since her formative years.
Having always been drawn to musical activity, she joined the Unam Choir which was an integral part of
her creative life between the years of 2012 and 2017.
Mupalo began painting as a form of stress relief and decompression in 2018, a hobby which has since
grown to become a profession. She is also an avid amateur model, photographer and creative director who takes great pleasure in curating self-timed shoots, as well as taking pictures of others in a themed setting.
Miss Mazala is a published author who boasts two poetry pieces in an anthology by Unam Press entitled My heart in your hands.
She currently resides in Lusaka, where she creates original bespoke paintings, as well recreations. While her main materials used are oil and acrylic paint on canvas, she is always eager to experiment with whatever she can find, including nail polish.
In addition to her creative endeavour, she is an aspiring academic currently studying to attain a postgraduate qualification in Children’s literature.
