Call Me Chanda

Chanda Mwape aka Call Me Chanda a  Zambian model, aspiring voice-over artist and DJ. Other than the 4 years I spent studying for my Law degree in Prague, Czech Republic, and the year I spent in Ndola after my birth, I have lived in Lusaka my whole life. I chose to study Law, with a focus in Public International Law and Human Rights, because I am passionate about people. I have great interest in culture and communication, and I love to connect with and connect people. Music is undeniably one of the main ways through which people connect with themselves and others, and this is probably where my interest in DJing stems from. It was 2 years after I began thinking about the possibility of becoming a DJ that I actually started to learn to mix music, about 9 months ago. Other than the simple fact that I love music, I love DJing because I have found that I thoroughly enjoy bringing together and experimenting with my diverse tastes in music—from afrobeats, afropop and alté to indie rock, soul and more—and I have also found that I love to share my finds with other people.
