Boyd Kalumbi
Boyd Kalumbi is an upcoming multifaceted booking agent. He is based in Lunga District in Samfya town of Luapula Province of Zambia. Boyd is an ardent fun of Zambian oldies.
His love for music has made him a huge follower of the Zambian music industry and over the years, he observed that alot of local artists from his province struggle to get bookings or appear in shows, especially at shows within Samfya where a guest artist from outside Samfya is performing. It this void that Boyd wishes to fill up. As goes the adage, “Necessity is the mother of inventions”, in this case necessity for bookings has provided a space for Boyd to engage the music industry.
His aspiration to change the booking status qou of Samfya was only a dream, not until he applied for and attended the Zamrock Museum Artist in Residency where he learnt about Music Management.
