Alexander Bandela
Alexander Bandela come from a family with no Artistic background hence
being the only child to have chosen a path into the visual Arts. His art
journey began in 2013 with him doing watercolor paintings on
paper, but it was later in 2022 that he developed a love for oil
paints and uses this medium to create his paintings.
His works are motivated by everyday life activity and forms
impacted by light and dark shades be it human figures performing
an activity or landscapes.
He creates works with colors and shades that would not appear in
a the actual scenery but blends it in away to appear natural to the
viewer.
The artist mentions he tries to observe the relationship between
light and shadows, this enables him to create images with strong
shadow and light appearances, further describing his works as
imbalanced in a perfect way that the viewer won't notice at first
site but after a good study and observation will then notice a few
things that wouldn't exist in the actual scenerior by removing or
changing the obvious things that the viewer would expect to see
or exist.
Through this he tries to create a conversation between the art
piece and the viewer.
